Made from Heart Pine taken from the SWEETWATER MILL in North Alabama. Originally built around 1870 in a town about 40 miles away. It was dismantled in 1893, loaded on barges on the Tennessee River and reassembled on Sweetwater Creek in East Florence. Man, if these boards could talk, what stories wood they tell!!

Pontotoc is a Chickasaw word meaning” Land of Hanging Grapes” The grape vine border is carved into the wood with such detail you can see the grapes.
