Our Round Tupelo Gum table is made from Tupelo Gum reclaimed from a 460,000 sq/ft building in Tupelo, Mississippi, originally known as the Tupelo Cotton Compress. The Compress began around 1886 and as stated in an article of the local newspaper dated April, 19, 1889, "was known for its fairness and just weights". Just weights referred to shipping out more cotton than the customer bought. We love that mentality here at VFF and decided to carry on the old compress philosophy and give our customers more than they bargain for in this table. With a mortise and tenon leg system, this table is stout as possum breath in a garlic patch. If you need a poker table that will support a 1,000 lbs of chips... well here it is.

Made from Heart Pine harvested from the old Stonewall Cotton Mill in Stonewall, Mississippi built in 1868. Named after "Stonewall" Jackson, it was one of the first industries in the state.
It is said that some of his relatives made the trip to attend a dedication ceremony in honor of the C S A General who died in the war. The wood is most handsome and as all of our furniture, it's built to last another 142 years. We believe it's the safest poker table on the market. Fact is, it may be the only safe poker table known to man. You've seen what happens in those westerns when the culprit setting across the table is called down for cheating. He jumps, turns over the table and starts shooting. Well... we figure he's got a real problem here with our table. When he jumps up and finds out he can't turn over the table, he'll hesitate for a second with a grunt and you can shoot him first. If by a rare chance he does flip it over you just duck down behind it and pray we put a top on it thick enough to stop a bullet. Some of the guys in the shop say the woodgrain is so dense they think it will, but no one will volunteer to find out, not because they doubt it, but we don't have anybody that can turn it over.
